This Linear/Osco 3 ft. gate safety edge is designed for easy installation with the pre-attached mounting channel and is manufactured for gate openers made prior to 2016. Safety edges are used in automatic gate opener systems as an entrapment protection device. They sense physical contact when an obstacle is obstructing the path of the gate opener, telling the system to stop or reverse movement.
